Tom succeeds in all levels of litigation. He has kept charges from being filed against targets of investigations, won motions to suppress, convinced the government to voluntarily dismiss cases, achieved low sentences, and won federal jury trials.  Below are some of his successful outcomes:

• The United States voluntarily dismissed a drug conspiracy case after Tom found false statements in a search warrant application and filed a Motion to Suppress.

• The Court granted a Motion to Suppress fourteen pounds of methamphetamine discovery during an illegal traffic stop.

• Tom convinced the Court to sentence his client to probation in a drug conspiracy with a minimum punishment of 10 years.

• The Court granted Tom’s Motion to Dismiss based on constitutional grounds where DNA evidence from a genetic ancestry company “solved” a cold case involving an alleged serial rapist.

•  In a white-collar doctor/pharmacy kickback case (the largest discovery case in the history of the Northern District of Oklahoma at the time), Tom convinced the government to dismiss the case against his client.

• After a thorough investigation uncovering inconsistencies in the government’s case, the United States dismissed firearms charges on the eve of trial.

• Facing a child abuse case in which his client admittedly struck a child with a hammer, Tom took the case to trial and achieved a full acquittal.

• In a sexual abuse case where law enforcement found the victim’s and the Defendant’s DNA on sex toys, Tom effectively cross examined the government’s DNA expert and earned a not guilty verdict.

• Tom took over “an unwinnable” case in which four eye witnesses claimed his client shot another person.  Tom thoroughly investigated the case and won a full acquittal at trial.
